We met a couple who seemed like seasoned pros, but they were holding onto a fantasy that had never actually happened until that night.
Speaker BWe'll walk you through how it all started with a casual bar conversation.
Speaker AThe surprising truth about this couple's experience, or lack of it.
Speaker BThe moment Vic set things in motion.
Speaker AWhat it felt like to give them their first time, and why it turned us on just as much as them.
Speaker AThis one's about energy, anticipation, and why sometimes the other couple's experience is the hottest part of all.
Speaker AWelcome to Coming Out Swinging, a raw.
Speaker BReal look at modern relationships.
Speaker BI'm Dave Arena.
Speaker AAnd I'm Victoria Arena.
Speaker BWe've been together nearly 30 years, married over 24, and swinging for more than 22.
Speaker AWe're starting this podcast now because for too long, fear kept us from living authentically, from being open about who we are and what our relationship actually looks like.
Speaker AMaybe this is our modern day Scarlet.
Speaker BLetter, but we're here to be both the example and the invitation to help others own their desires and question the scripts we've all been handed.
Speaker AWhat's broken in today's relationships?
Speaker BIs monogamy even natural for humans?
Speaker AAnd could the secret to a relationship that doesn't drain your soul be owning other people?
Speaker BThis show explores how love, sex, and identity often buckle under the weight of societal expectations, especially monogamy.
Speaker ASubscribe to Coming Out Swinging, the podcast that redefines couple goals straight from the OGs.
Speaker BOkay, so today we're gonna tell a little story.
Speaker ATrue.
Speaker BTrue.
Speaker BThat we're gonna tell a story or true story?
Speaker AIt's both.
Speaker BBoth.
Speaker BSo we were at the club, our local club here.
Speaker BYeah.
Speaker BI love this story because it really will dig into why or not why.
Speaker BThis one will really dig into what.
Speaker BA very specific example of what we get out of it and what turns us both on currently.
Speaker BYeah, in different ways.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker BBecause we each.
Speaker BWe.
Speaker BWe each got get something specific out of this scenario.
Speaker BSpecifically.
Speaker ABoth couples, you mean, or you and I.
Speaker BYou and I.
Speaker ATrue.
Speaker BWell, and them too.
Speaker BYeah.
Speaker BYeah.
Speaker BSo I guess.
Speaker BYeah, all three.
Speaker AYeah, it kind of just comes full circle.
Speaker BYeah, for sure.
Speaker BSo you want to start off?
Speaker ASure.
Speaker ASo we had gone to the club one night and, you know, I tend to be like the.
Speaker AI'm like the mixer, like the party girl, kind of like break the ice with everybody.
Speaker AUsually do shots.
Speaker AYou'll.
Speaker AYou'll hear that a lot when you know.
Speaker AOr I'll at least offer them.
Speaker ALike, I'm not forcing anybody to do shots.
Speaker AYou know, you're the.
Speaker BYou're the extrovert Definitely.
Speaker BI would never talk to anyone.
Speaker AWe would never do anything this lifestyle if we were up to date.
Speaker ABecause he never approach anybody.
Speaker BYeah, I'm introvert.
Speaker AHowever, this particular night there was a couple that came in and let me just set the thing.
Speaker AThere's.
Speaker AThere ends up being three couples, but.
Speaker ASo the first couple comes in, they're probably around our age, maybe a little older and they.
Speaker BSo here's what's interesting.
Speaker BYeah, they're a little older than us now.
Speaker BWhat's interesting about this scenario as you tell it is the first couple that you're talking about.
Speaker BSo each of them were completely.
Speaker BThey ended up being different than what we originally thought.
Speaker ATotally.
Speaker BSo the, the original couple, they.
Speaker BThey were more like, hey, you know, like I think his father had just died and they were having that moment of like, let's live our lives.
Speaker BAnd so they.
Speaker BSo it totally made it sound like they had never had any experience and they were completely new.
Speaker ACorrect.
Speaker BThat wasn't quite the situation.
Speaker ANo.
Speaker ASo what we found out from them because, you know, during the interview process or get to know each other process, we found out that like over what, 25 years ago or so.
Speaker BYeah.
Speaker AThey had an experience.
Speaker AExperience when they first got married and.
Speaker AOr first were married and they invited a guy.
Speaker AGuy friend of theirs over.
Speaker AYou know, one thing led to another and you know, had a swap with that guy.
Speaker ANever called him again.
Speaker BNever did anything else.
Speaker ANever did anything else ever again.
Speaker AIt just was like a one night thing.
Speaker AAnd now 25 years later, they decided to go and do it again.
Speaker BAnd then they did mention something about like her friends coming over one time and having a three summer.
Speaker BSo they had a couple experiences like.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker BEarly on in their marriage.
Speaker ASo years had gone by.
Speaker BYeah, we're talking 25 years had gone by before they did anything.
Speaker BBut they did have some experience.
Speaker BThey weren't completely new.
Speaker BLike they almost sounded like at first.
Speaker ACorrect.
Speaker AYes.
Speaker AAnd I think they kind of saw us having fun and so she was like, you know, drinking her wine and.
Speaker BYeah, she was outgoing too.
Speaker BAnd they were very nice.
Speaker BSo we were talking to them for a while.
Speaker ACorrect.
Speaker AAnd then another couple showed up and saw like all four of us kind of just being.
Speaker AWe weren't being loud.
Speaker AI mean, we were in the club area, so you can talk and be boisterous or whatever.
Speaker AAnd so they came over and introduced themselves and they were great.
Speaker AVery nice.
Speaker AShe was kind of shy.
Speaker AThey also were a little older than us slightly.
Speaker BYeah.
Speaker AAnd.
Speaker ABut super cool people.
Speaker AJust really cool.
Speaker ALike I don't know, they were real laid back and just kind of casual.
Speaker AAnd in talking to them, it's hard when all three couples are kind of talking amongst each other and she and he are telling us a story.
Speaker AAnd Dave was kind of on the opposite side of me.
Speaker AAnd at one point, Dave leans over and goes, did I hear what I think I heard?
Speaker AShe said, like, she's.
Speaker AThey come here all the time, but they've never done anything.
Speaker BNo.
Speaker AIsn't that.
Speaker BNo, I didn't know that at that point.
Speaker AOkay.
Speaker BAll they were talking about was how they had been in this for years.
Speaker AOh, yeah.
Speaker BThey literally said years.
Speaker AYes.
Speaker BAnd they have come to different clubs, they've gone to different events, So I assumed.
Speaker BI don't know how you took it, but I assume when someone says they've been in this for years and they've been going to clubs and events that they're just.
Speaker BThat they've done something.
Speaker AYeah, they're.
Speaker BYeah.
Speaker BLike you would assume.
Speaker AYes, yes, yes, yes.
Speaker BIt's not like if someone says, oh, we came once.
Speaker BLike, you might think they didn't have an experience.
Speaker BThat's.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker BWhen you say you've been coming for years, I assumed they were experienced, and you're right.
Speaker AAnd so in my mind, I'm kind of looking at them.
Speaker AI'm like, she's cute.
Speaker AHe's not really my type, but let's just see where the night goes, you know, that kind of thing.
Speaker AAnd they all kind of kept talking, and I just kind of looked at Dave, because sometimes in a club atmosphere, the later it gets and the more you drink, you can end up getting stuck just talking all night.
Speaker ASo we knew we wanted to do something whether it was with them or not with them.
Speaker ASo we said we were going to go upstairs and get started.
Speaker AAnd they were like, oh, okay.
Speaker AYou know, so we kind of head up, and next thing you know, they all follow.
Speaker BYou're skipping ahead.
Speaker ANo, I'm not.
Speaker BYeah.
Speaker BI went to the bar first, and because you were like, well, get me my final drink.
Speaker BLike your drink that you take off.
Speaker ARight.
Speaker BI go to the bar, and he.
Speaker BThe husband of the couple that said they've been there for years, was talking.
Speaker ATo our friend, the bartender, right?
Speaker AYes.
Speaker BAnd so when I came up.
Speaker BNow, this bartender is good friends of ours because we go there so often.
Speaker BAnd she almost, like, was not hushing him, but almost like, since I showed up, she was almost like, well, yeah, we'll talk about that later.
Speaker AMm.
Speaker BHe walks off, and I'm like, what's that?
Speaker BAll About.
Speaker BAnd she's like.
Speaker BShe whispers to me, and she's like.
Speaker BHe's like eager beaver to get his wife to try something.
Speaker BAnd he is.
Speaker BHe thinks it would be so hot for her to be with another guy.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker BAnd.
Speaker BAnd she basically was saying that he was telling her they've been coming here for years and nothing has happened.
Speaker BHe can't talk her into doing anything.
Speaker BSo I.
Speaker BRight there, I was blown away because I was like, again, when you hear someone has been coming for years, you're like, how have they been coming for years and nothing has ever happened?
Speaker BBut that was the reality.
Speaker BSo he was.
Speaker BHe was almost asking her for advice.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker BLike, how do I get this thing?
Speaker AHow could it finally happen?
Speaker BYeah.
Speaker AYes.
Speaker AAnd I do remember.
Speaker BSo that's the backstory.
Speaker BBefore we even headed upstairs.
Speaker AThen we head upstairs.
Speaker ASo my.
Speaker AMy point still continues.
Speaker AWe head upstairs, we start our thing, and they all follow right up behind us, basically.
Speaker AWithin minutes.
Speaker BWithin minutes.
Speaker BYeah.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker BSo you and I do our thing.
Speaker AWe always kind of just start, you know.
Speaker BNow, some more context here.
Speaker BThis particular club has an upstairs play area that is all open.
Speaker AThere are no private.
Speaker BThere's a couple beds, there's a few couches.
Speaker BThere's some bdsm, like, crosses and stuff, and that's it.
Speaker BThere's no private rooms.
Speaker BYou have to play on the open.
Speaker BSo typically, what happens is Vic and I will start on a bed and just do our own thing.
Speaker BAnd because, you know, we've been doing this so long, it's just spontaneous.
Speaker BRight.
Speaker BLike, whatever happens.
Speaker AWell, that's always hotter for us.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker BWhatever happens happens.
Speaker BSo we start and then.
Speaker AAnd the other couple, the first couple, they start on a bed next to us, and the second couple comes and sits on the couch right in front of us.
Speaker BThe couple that's never had anything happen, the first couple that had some experience but nothing for 25 or 30 years, they moved off to a couch further away.
Speaker BSo they were kind of out of the picture from that.
Speaker BFrom the first.
Speaker BFrom the initial.
Speaker ACorrect.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker BAnd the couple that had never had anything happen sat on the couch opposite of us.
Speaker ACorrect.
Speaker AAnd at one point, we kind of stopped just to take a break, look around or whatever.
Speaker AHe kind of knocked.
Speaker BWell, they started like, she was on.
Speaker BShe was grinding on top of him.
Speaker BClothes on.
Speaker AClothes on.
Speaker ACorrect.
Speaker AAnd he kind of looks at me.
Speaker AI look at him, and he kind of gave me, like, a nod, and.
Speaker BI'm oblivious like usual.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker ABut he was basically giving me a nod like, can you send your husband over like, kind of like nodded towards Dave and Dave, you know, and so I think Dave caught that at that last second.
Speaker BWell, I look to you because again.
Speaker AHe looks at me and I'm like, go over there.
Speaker ALike, I'm like pointing in.
Speaker BLike, we've discussed this in previous episodes.
Speaker BNot only am I not aggressive, I, you know, usually any sign, even obvious signs like that.
Speaker BYeah, it goes.
Speaker BIt's not like it goes over my head, but I still don't know if I should.
Speaker BLike, I don't want to be.
Speaker BYeah, that.
Speaker BBut you were like, he's.
Speaker BI saw you guys connect.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker ASo at that point I just kind of, you know, turned to the side and sat and watched.
Speaker AAnd I think as soon as Dave saw me do that, he was like, oh, it is time to go over there.
Speaker ASo Dave went over there, looks at the man and says, is it okay?
Speaker AYes.
Speaker AShe kind of turned around like a little bit with her neck and said, yes, it's okay because she heard you say that.
Speaker AAnd it just starts happening.
Speaker AThe three of you, like, or you.
Speaker ANot three of you, but you with her.
Speaker AWell, she's still on writing him.
Speaker BYeah, she's.
Speaker BShe's not even riding him.
Speaker BHe's fully clothed.
Speaker BShe's grinding on him.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker BAlso clothed.
Speaker BBut she had her shirt off.
Speaker ACorrect.
Speaker BAnd she had a skirt on.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker BAnd then so I just started with like light petting and touching and stuff.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker BAnd then something went to another.
Speaker BYeah, she was at a.
Speaker BI don't.
Speaker BI guess we don't need to get into too graphic detail, but like, she was at a weird angle because she's like, she's all.
Speaker AShe popped her booty out a little.
Speaker ALet's just say that.
Speaker BYeah.
Speaker BLike, I couldn't.
Speaker BAt the angle she was at.
Speaker BIt was still not an invitation.
Speaker BLike, let's just put it that way.
Speaker BSo I didn't know the invitation.
Speaker AShe kind of repositioned herself.
Speaker BYeah.
Speaker BAnd I'm super sensitive to this kind of stuff, especially when it's.
Speaker BWhen I knew the backstory of it being her first time and not never having anything happen is I, I definitely needed a clear cut sign from her.
Speaker BI didn't care.
Speaker AAs soon as she did that.
Speaker BI don't care what the husband says because I know I've been the eager beaver husband.
Speaker AKind of tilt her head back and say, yes, it's okay.
Speaker BNo, that's what I'm saying.
Speaker BI won't go just by the husband because I've been that eager beaver husband.
Speaker BAnd then you're like, no.
Speaker BYeah, you're like, no, no, it's not happening.
Speaker BRight.
Speaker AWhat he said.
Speaker AI'm saying no.
Speaker BAnd especially me knowing the backstory of her not being with anyone.
Speaker BI didn't.
Speaker BI wanted her to be the one to give the invitation.
Speaker ACorrect.
Speaker BSo she did end up lifting up to where I could.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker AShe kind of stayed in the same position, but re angled herself.
Speaker AAnd that was like the full invitation for Dave to just go ahead.
Speaker AAnd so I just sat back and watched.
Speaker AI thought it was great.
Speaker AIt was exciting, it was fun.
Speaker AIt was super hot.
Speaker ABecause it was so spontaneous.
Speaker BYeah, it's.
Speaker BIt's.
Speaker BIt was super hot.
Speaker BAnd I think where we're going with this is we said that there were three different things that each of us got out of it.
Speaker BAnd for me, what's hot for me is I think it's always an honor and super exciting to be the first one.
Speaker BTo be the first one for sure.
Speaker BSo I.
Speaker BI get off on that.
Speaker BI'm gonna.
Speaker BI'll admit that.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker BSo that.
Speaker BYou know.
Speaker BAnd then also.
Speaker BBut also giving them that experience because it's hot for me, because I know that dynamic.
Speaker BWe have a similar dynamic where there's a lot of times where we're doing things in the moment that's exciting.
Speaker BTypically with like a single guy or with you involved.
Speaker BSo I know what it's like to be that eager beaver.
Speaker BLike, I want something to happen.
Speaker BAnd especially being the first time I can empathize with the husband.
Speaker BLike, I knew he's just been waiting for this and playing it over in his mind how many times.
Speaker BAnd for her to be so afraid of this, I just wanted to be like, it's.
Speaker BIt's hot for me to be that first time.
Speaker BSo I think that's what I got out of it.
Speaker AFor me, I mean, one, you have the obvious of me watching you with somebody else, which is great.
Speaker ATwo, I tend to have this kind of.
Speaker ASo what you need to understand is couple number one now sees all this happening and they come over and they sit on the other side of the same couch.
Speaker BRight.
Speaker AAnd they're real eager to get involved in this.
Speaker AAnd I'm like, this is not getting.
Speaker AYou know, just stay focused, Dave.
Speaker ALet's.
Speaker AYou know, and.
Speaker AAnd really the Dave and her didn't even pay any attention to them.
Speaker ABut I have a weird thing in my head that's kind of hot where I want to win a little bit.
Speaker BYeah.
Speaker AAnd I thought so just knowing that Dave was the first experience.
Speaker AThey weren't even paying attention.
Speaker BAnd you helped make it Happen.
Speaker BLike that's your thing.
Speaker AIt's so hot for me.
Speaker AAnd just like a, you know, proud wife moment there.
Speaker ALike, I'm like, heck yeah, such a good wingman.
Speaker BAnd that's without a doubt your thing.
Speaker BLike that totally is.
Speaker BThat's been multiple times throughout our.
Speaker AFor them.
Speaker AFor that husband probably made his year because they've been.
Speaker BYeah.
Speaker AWhen we found out how many years they've been coming and to an actual lifestyle club or lifestyle events and nothing has happened, I was blown away.
Speaker AJust blown away.
Speaker BYeah.
Speaker BAnd so I think that that's what also is hot is that it wasn't very long.
Speaker BIt wasn't like it was.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker BYou know, it was.
Speaker BIt wasn't that it had to blow her away in terms of like me performing or anything.
Speaker ARight.
Speaker BBut what was super hot in terms of the aftermath was you.
Speaker BLike you said that couple likely went home and had amazing sex processing what just happened.
Speaker BAnd we've talked about that in previous episodes.
Speaker BLike the pillow talk and the reconnect.
Speaker AFor them was probably golden.
Speaker BRight.
Speaker BSo what was hot for us in that scenario?
Speaker BAside from the.
Speaker BYes, it was hot being with her the first time.
Speaker BAnd it's hot for you wanting to win.
Speaker BBut for us, we know what it's like.
Speaker BWe know the reconnection they're going to have.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker BAnd that's I think the hottest.
Speaker AI don't want to make the wanting to win sound like I'm some sort of like cold hearted.
Speaker ALike it's meaningless to me.
Speaker AThat's not what we really mean by that.
Speaker AThere is.
Speaker AIt's something that.
Speaker BI think it's a pride.
Speaker ABisexual.
Speaker BYeah.
Speaker BAnd I think it's a pride thing that you're like, oh, if we can give this couple this.
Speaker BOr whatever the scenario is.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker AAnd you know, it just, you know, we all left totally cool with each other.
Speaker AJust, you know, we'll see you next time.
Speaker AYou know, they plan on coming back and.
Speaker BYeah.
Speaker BBut we know from experience that they're gonna go home and it's gonna be probably the best session of their lives.
Speaker AProbably.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker BBecause this has been building for years from both of them.
Speaker BHe's the eager beaver playing it over in his mind.
Speaker ARight.
Speaker BHe probably also wanted it, but.
Speaker BBut had so many of the fears that we talked about with our first time.
Speaker BThe not knowing.
Speaker BRight.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker BAnd they were.
Speaker BWe also found out, side note that they were like, like school age sweethearts.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker BLike they had been together.
Speaker BSo.
Speaker BSo when.
Speaker BAnd that's another hot thing.
Speaker BLike she probably hasn't had another man at all.
Speaker BEver.
Speaker BIf you think about it, there's a good.
Speaker BProbably not.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker BIf they, if they met that young, we didn't dig that deep.
Speaker BRight.
Speaker BBut take the lifestyle out of it.
Speaker BShe probably hasn't ever even had another man, which.
Speaker BAnd I know even that, just like you were saying, you're.
Speaker BYou're wanting to win.
Speaker BI don't want to make that sound a certain way, but, like, it is hot, right?
Speaker BIt's hot.
Speaker BThat.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker BI could have possibly been the only other man other than her husband.
Speaker AI think leaving with them.
Speaker AWe did, you know, we said, you know, it was great meeting, you know, hope you had a great night.
Speaker AAnd they were great.
Speaker AAnd it was definitely a reminder for them that it's just definitely, you know, it's always a good.
Speaker AHave a good connection.
Speaker AAnd it's not just about the people.
Speaker AIt's about the energy and the experience.
Speaker AAnd I think they completely agreed.
Speaker BYeah.
Speaker BAnd it's not that we weren't attracted, like, she was attractive.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker BBut again, it's not always.
Speaker AIt was their situation that they wanted.
Speaker BThat's what the hotness was.
Speaker BYeah.
Speaker BWhat you're saying is it's not necessarily about the individual people.
Speaker BLike, oh, my God, I have to have that person or that person so hot.
Speaker ARight.
Speaker AYou can.
Speaker BYeah.
Speaker AIn this situation.
Speaker AIt wasn't like that.
Speaker BYeah.
Speaker BIt was the scenario all the way around and each of us got something different out of it.
Speaker BSo it was a win, win, win for everyone.
Speaker ADefinitely.
Speaker AIt was a great night.
Speaker BIt was.
Speaker AIt was a lot of fun.
